IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR KDES LIBRARY PATRONS:
For Honorees – all books must be returned to library by Wednesday, June 4th.
For KDES students (ECE and all Teams) – all books returned by Friday, June 6th.
For all Clerc Center Teachers/Staff – all materials returned by Monday, June 16th.
If the books are damaged or lost, please see the librarian ASAP. Thank you.

Kendall Team 6/7/8 is having Academic Bowl contest this week. There are 4 games being played between 9:30AM - 11:45AM in Team 6/7/8 area before deciding for 3rd place and Championship pairings tomorrow, 5/29/08. 3rd place contest will be played at 12:45PM - 1:45PM. Championship game will be played at 1:45PM- 2:45PM. Come and support our Academic Bowl event.

Celebrate Magazine Showcases "Yes, I Can!" Gallaudet National Essay, Art, and ASL Contest 2008 Winners
Congratulations to KDES student Bridget Berrigan for winning 3rd Place in the essay category with her entry: "Yes, I Can Be friends with Anyone."
The Clerc Center is pleased to announce the publication of Celebrate! magazine showcasing the talents of deaf and hard of hearing elementary and high school students from around the country responding to this year's Gallaudet National Essay, Art, and ASL Contest "Yes, I Can!" The magazine features the prize winning entries, a complete list of all 623 participants, and an announcement and entry form for the 2009 contest: "Going Green: What I'm Doing to Help Save the Environment."
KDES teachers and staff…look for copies of Celebrate in your mailbox!

The Model/Kendall Athletics Department invites you to our annual Sports Awards Night on Thursday, May 29th 5pm. We hope you can join us as we recognize our STUDENT-ATHLETES!
Thursday, May 29
5:00pm - BBQ outside in front of MSSD gym
**Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Veggie Burgers**
6:00pm - Awards Presentation at Malz Theatre
**Guest Speaker - Mike Weinstock, GU Interim Athletic Director**
7:00pm - Ice Cream/Cookies in MSSD Gym lobby
For those who work at MSSD, we ask that you dress in casual attire with the school colors - red, white and blue. If you work at Kendall, wear casual attire with the school colors - blue and yellow. You may also choose to wear both school colors if you can coordinate your outfits. We are hoping that all will wear their colors as it will make for an exciting evening!
We hope to see you all there as this is a night where all of our STUDENT-ATHLETES will SHINE! For more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
