KDES Video Studio

KDES Video Studio (formerly know as Media Room - Room 1214) is available for you and your class! The Video Studio includes, blue portrait and green chromakey background, tripod and video camcorder, lights, TVs, VHS and DV player. If you would like to use the Video Studio, please reserve it through the TecEds reservation system at http://clerccenter.gallaudet.edu/TecEds/calendar/index.asp.

Here's how:
1. Go to http://clerccenter.gallaudet.edu/TecEds/calendar/ to check for availability.
2. If the video studio is available for your needed date and time, click the "Request Room" button.
3. Log in with your Bison account.
4. Complete the form. Be sure to select KDES Video Studio from the "Location" drop down menu.
5. Submit your request. You will be contacted within 24 hours to inform you if your request has been approved or not.
6. At your requested date and time, someone from ISCS will be there to unlock the room. We only ask that you leave the room as you found it and close the door when you are done.

• The Cafeteria staff has reported that 4 water pitchers and the scoop for the ice machine have disappeared.
  
  If you have these items please return them immediately.
  
  As per my many previous suggestions about this topic.... if you ever need any materials or equipment from the cafeteria please ask someone's permission to borrow them before you remove them from the cafeteria.
  
  Your cooperation will be appreciated.
  

• “Due to popular demand, I am pleased to announce that the wildcat weekly will expand from 3 days a week to a daily distribution.
  
  Please do submit all info regarding field trips and or special events when students will be out of the classroom, ( i.e walking across campus, going ot mssd for a performance , etc. This is important info for service providers, administrators, C.E. teachers ASL teachers and many others in Kendall School.
  
  We hope that by using the Wildcat Daily as the source of such info, and by encouraging everyone to read our wonderful wildcat…. we will be able to avoid the frustrating scheduling mix-ups that have sometimes occurred. Now , when someone says “ hey I didn’t know that !” , you can say , “ oh sure , I read it in the Wildcat !!!”

• Hearing aids have been misplaced here at KDES. The hearing aids are easy to identify. Both hearing aids are red. There is one blue earmold and one black earmold. The aids were thought to be left in the CDC Dance area on Thursday, 3/14. If found, please return them to Alice Kreisle, Audiologist in Room 2406. Thanks for your help

KDES Yearbooks

The 150th Anniversary Planning Committee is STILL looking for the KDES yearbooks for 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1977, 1983, 1986, 1989, 1991. If you have any of the books with those years, can you please lend the book(s) to the committee. It would be greatly appreciated. You can give the book(s) to Ruth Innes.

KHSO Fundraiser

On behalf of Kendall Home School Organization (KHSO), we are proud to announce our second fundraiser of the year. We are selling Joe Corbi’s pizza till April 4th. The purpose is to raise funds that will support a variety of school activities for students and families. If you are interested in ordering the pizza kits, please see one of the KDES family educators. Pizza kits will be delivered on Friday, April 20. KHSO Meeting

The Kendall Home School Organization would like to invite all concerned parents and teachers to the next general meeting, scheduled for 24 April 2007. A letter is being added to this Friday's communication folders with more details, the most important of which is that we will have a representative from the DC Chapter of the National PTA there to meet with us and answer all our questions. Then we will open the voting on the top 3 items relating to the bylaws. Ballots will also be sent out afterwards for those who are unable to attend the meeting.
