The Kendall Honorees are having a FUNDRAISER at UNO CHICAGO GRILL in Union Station, 500 Massachusetts Avenue, NE.

TUESDAY, MAY 23rd, 4:00 p.m.-10 p.m.

Please have dinner with us. This will be a great opportunity for Kendall staff to be able to socialize with students, parents/guardians, siblings of students, and each other!

Please pick up a blue flyer in the front office, or from any one of the Honorees. Then, on May 23rd, present the flyer to your server before your bill arrives and enjoy your meal!! At the end of the evening, the manager will tally all the receipts and 20% of the profits made on that one day only will go to the Kendall Honorees and their graduation activities.

If for some reason you are unable to meet us for dinner and STILL want to support the Honorees, please feel free to order in person or on line and present the flyer at the register BEFORE you pay. If you prefer to go to UNO at lunchtime, that’s ok too, if you present the flyer-you’ll still be counted!

Please note that this fundraiser is ONLY at UNO in Union Station, and the flyer will not be honored at other UNO restaurants. We would love for you to share one of the flyers with a friend, but please do not hand out flyers outside the restaurant or anywhere inside of Union Station (that has been prohibited by UNO management.)

MANY THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!! We’ll see you there!!

A really big thank you to everyone who helped and supported student presentations at MSSD during the past two week.

So many people were involved –practicing with and preparing students, judging, covering classes so others could judge, setting up, cleaning up, and generally being flexible enough to cover all the last minute changes. The whole process when rather smoothly and I am very appreciative of all that each of you did to make that happen.

The vast majority of the students were able to identify some real growth in themselves during this year. When asked, many of the students admitted that this was a valuable experience for them and they could not have done it without the support of their advisors. Again – THANK YOU! Naomi Zowader

Looking for an owner…. In years past we had a wooden sculpture of “Hands” near the entrance to our auditorium at Kendall. Eventually it fell into disrepair, and was un-assembled. If anyone knows the source of this “sculpture” or would like to claim it, please contact me. We need to remove it asap. (it is easily re-assembled – just 2 pieces).
Thanks,

  • Revise Documents with Track Changes
Revise Documents with Track Changes is an excellent Microsoft Word feature that lets you proofread students and colleagues documents and offer suggestions such as formatting changes, deleting and inserting text, adding comments, moving text from one place to another etc. The changes you propose appear as proofreader’s markup language in the document itself: Once the document is returned to the owner he/she can go through it and accept or reject the changes you’ve recommended.
If you’d like to know more about this feature I’ll be happy to meet with you for training. Or, if you prefer to learn on your own, I can provide information about an on-line course you can try yourself. The course takes about an hour to complete. Thanks and let me know if you’d like more information about this feature -- William.Humm@Gallaudet.Edu.
