This Saturday, Feb. 11th, six KDES students ranging from Teams 1 through 8 will be participating in the Optimist Club District Contest in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The six students will present their presentation on "My future is bright because..." They are: Wendy Brehm, Emmanuel Njoku, Brennen Terhune-Cotter, Shadaye White, Andrew Duncan and Marquita Whitfield
They will be competing with 5 other contestants from all over Virginia. The contestants will be using ASL to present their presentation. Each presentation is up to 5 minutes long. It is a tough one but the contestants worked very hard on it for many weeks. When you see them in the hallway or in the cafeteria or in class- please wish them luck. Give them your support. Thank you very much.
Hopefully one of our students will win the $1,500 scholarship to their choice of colleges.
