5K Walk/Run

To the Clerc Center community: The Alpha Metro D.C. area chapter of the Phi Kappa Zeta Sorority will be hosting a 5K Walk/Run event on Saturday, March 24, 9 a.m.-noon at Gallaudet. Registration starts at 8 a.m. Proceeds will go to the Abused Deaf Women's Advocacy Services (www.ADWAS.org) in Seattle, Wash., where the nation's first transitional housing project recently opened and is serving deaf/deaf-blind women and their children who are victims of domestic violence/sexual assault. Many Clerc Center employees are Sisters of the Phi Kappa Zeta Sorority of Gallaudet University.
