The players will be accompanied by 3-4 members of the Wizards Dance team and G-Wiz the mascot for the Washington Wizards.

Dr. and Mrs. Jordon will be at KDES to welcome the group and to participate in the Read to Achieve event. For anyone who has not participated in Read to Achieve events in the past, this is a very exciting opportunity for students. This year, in small groups, the players will read one of two books to students on Team 1/2/3, Team 4/5 and Team 6/7/8. The players have asked to learn some ASL too! Students are preparing to teach each player how to spell their name and to sign the team slogan: One Team, One Goal.

Following the reading portion of the event, players will demonstrate some basketball techniques and close with autograph signing for the students. Teachers and staff on Teams 1/2/3, 4/5 and 6/7/8 are invited to attend.
